5 Tips to Opt for The Best Concealed Carry Holster

If you are serious about your safety, chances are that you have a concealed carry holster. And most of you know very well what we are talking about. If you are looking for a gun holster, you may have to search for the right one.

Since I have owned a gun for a long time, I can save you a lot of headache by giving you a few tips that can help you opt for the right product. These suggestions may help you look for the best holster. Let’s go ahead and check out the tips.

1. It should fit

You can’t just buy any carrier out there as one size can’t fit everyone or everything. Based on the type of gun you own, you should look for the right holster. Make sure both the belt and the holster offer the best fit. There should be no movement or slop. This is the most important thing to keep in mind when looking for the right stuff.

2. It should be easy to take out

Are you right-handed or left-handed? Can you draw the weapon easily with your right or left hand? Make sure the holster allows you to take your gun out with the hand you usually use to do your work.

If you can’t get your gun out at the right moment, the holster will be of no use. So, that’s an important consideration to make.

3. Easy to use when in a car

You should think about the time you spend in your vehicle. Most people don’t do a defensive draw when they are in a car and the seat belt is fastened. What should you do? Can you carry to weapons? Can you have another gun hidden somewhere in the car?

In other words, your holster should allow you to draw your weapon easily even when you are on the move in your car.

4. Thumb snaps, push-button and safety straps

Make sure the holster you are going to choose doesn’t have the things, such as thumb snaps, push buttons or safety straps. Actually, holsters don’t need these things. These features will only make it harder for you to draw your gun when you need it. As a matter of fact, you may have to deal with someone who already has a gun in their hands.

5. You get what you pay for

You can’t expect the best fit from a cheap product. Moreover, it may not work right and may not last as long as a quality holster. So, It’s not worth it to invest in a cheap holster. Nothing is more important than your safety. So, spending a bit more and investing in a high quality product is always a great idea.

In short, if you are on the lookout of a good gun holster, we suggest that you follow the tips given in this short article. This will help you get your hands on the best gun carrier so you can rest assured that you always safe.

Apotemnophilia: Would You Remove One of Your Own Limbs?

Apotemnophilia is a mental disorder where an individual experiences a very strong urge to remove an otherwise healthy limb. These people are typically sane and level headed but they ironically consider themselves incomplete. Only after they remove a part of themselves can they feel whole. Some people will feel that the entire limb must be removed and others just want to get rid of a portion. There are often times an exact place where they want it removed. For some these urges are so strong they will intentionally mutilate the limb. This can be done in many gruesome ways. Sufferers of Apotemnophilia have frozen their limbs in dry ice, fired shotguns at them, and even intentionally had them run over by trains. These Apotemnophiles will go to such drastic measures because very few doctors will amputate a healthy limb. Many surgeons feel it goes against their code of ethics to do harm to a healthy body. These people often feel they are left with no choice but to take matters into their own hands.

It is thought that damage to the right parietal lobe is the cause of this rare disorder but there is no definitive cause. Apotemnophilia is also connected to sexual motivation. It is theorized that these people have a sexual desire to become an amputee or to at least have the appearance of one. Another contributor to Apotemnophilia is a distorted body image that is created at a very young age. A very large majority of sufferers claim their unhappiness began early and progressed.

It was recently discovered that a closely related and similar disorder called Body Integrity Identity disorder existed. This disorder is essentially the same as Apotemnophilia but without the sexual motivation. The two are often confused but they are in fact different.

Unfortunately for the sufferers of Apotemnophilia there disorder is rarely diagnosed until they make an attempt to remove the limb in question. These people will spend years in a very deep depression because they are simply unhappy with themselves and their bodies. Psychotherapy shows little if any improvement which really only leaves these people with two choices. They can either live out their entire lives being very unhappy with themselves or they can find a way to rid themselves of the limb. It is very common for Apotemnophiles who have received their amputations to live happy lives after they have the unwanted limbs removed. Even when questioned months or even years after, they still claim they made the right choice.

Hard Armor Plates: Metal, Ceramic, or Dyneema

Hard body armor provides the most protection from the widest range of firearms. While soft body armor can protect against a range of handguns, hard armor plates are the most effective defense against high-powered rifles and armor-piercing rounds. Hard armor plates are available from many manufacturers, in both metal and ceramic. Which is right for your needs, though? Should you choose metal or ceramic hard armor plates?

The most significant benefit is that they are effective against all handgun rounds and many high-powered rifle rounds. Some are even effective against military caliber weapons. This offers the utmost in protection for corrections officers, police, military and security personnel. In addition, these plates can also withstand blades, which many soft body armor types cannot.

Metal Armor Plates

Metal plates are the original form of modern body armor, and trace their lineage back to the Middle Ages. Metal was long the only option for those who needed protection from high-velocity and armor-piercing rounds. Metal hard armor plates are strong, durable and widely available, but that does not mean they are without their drawbacks.

The most significant drawback to metal plates is their weight. A suit of body armor made with metal can hamper movement and flexibility significantly. Even adding metal plates to a soft cloth bullet proof vest can create problems with additional weight. Thankfully, there is an answer to the weight problem.

Ceramic Hard Armor Plates

Ceramic has been used for centuries for its strength, resilience and durability. Today, it’s also used in the creation of body armor. Ceramic offers significant advantages over metal plates in that they are far, far lighter, but do not sacrifice stopping power, durability or strength. This allows police officers, security personnel and military personnel to enjoy the best possible protection without adding extra weight from metal hard armor plates that would impede their movements otherwise.

Dyneema Hard Armor Plates

Dyneema plates are the lightest plate between the ceramic and metal and weigh in at close to two pounds lighter that their ceramic and metal counterparts. The dyneema plates are a welcomed addition for someone who has to wear a vest of this protection rating for an extended period of time. Dyneema plates have a ballistic level III rating which will protect you against 7.62mm FMJ,.30 carbines,.223 Remington, 5.56mm FMJ round and grenade shrapnel. However to stop.30 caliber armor piercing rounds, you have to increase your ballistic protection to a level IV ceramic plate.

Metal, Ceramic or Dyneema

While metal plates have long been dominant in the industry, things are changing. As ceramic and dyneema becomes more widely available and more people become aware of the strength, stopping power and lightweight nature of these solutions, they are quickly becoming the preferred choice, even over metals like titanium.

Ceramic and dyneema hard armor plates are widely available today, both in full armor solutions and as add-on plates that can help augment bullet proof vests by adding protection to vital areas.

Tips in the Proper Care and Maintenance of Taser Guns

Owning a self-defense tool is a common scenario nowadays due to the rising cases of criminality and crimes. Majority of individuals decide to own self-defense devices to protect themselves and their families from harm. However, as responsible owner of these tools, it is your duty to care for them to maintain its proper functioning.

It is not enough that you buy these tools and store them in your bag or in your cabinet anytime you want. Like other gadgets and appliances you have inside your home, you have to observe proper guidelines on how to maintain and to care for these devices, otherwise it will not perform its best when you need it.

Purchasing a taser gun and getting the needed licenses are not the only duties you have as owner. As efficient and responsible owner, you should know how to care for the device properly to maintain its efficacy and functionality. If you do not want the tool to malfunction and harm you instead of the attacker, take time to regularly inspect and do regular maintenance. This article details the proper way to care and to maintain a taser gun.

Below are tips on how to properly care for a stun gun:

1. Be sure to recharge the batteries of your taser gun regularly. Since the indicator is not enough to show the amount of power inside the device, it is best to perform a spark test to find out if the batteries need charging.

2. Be sure to check the expiry date of the taser cartridge, especially if you have not used the tool for a long time. Most often, taser cartridge only lasts for about five years, thus do not use the batteries if it is beyond its expiration date. Remember that the expiration date does not depend on how frequently you use the device, but the expiry date is preprinted on the product label by manufacturers.

3. Bear in mind that taser guns are sensitive tools, thus be sure to take care of it and to handle it with care. Avoid dropping it on the floor because even though taser housing is made of plastic, it can crack and breaks once it fell on the floor on impact.

4. Be sure to place it in dry and moisture-free areas because it cannot function properly when wet. If moisture enters the device, take out the batteries immediately and dry its body for about 24 hours.

5. Avoid repairing the taser yourself, but bring it to an authorized and accredited service center for maintenance and repair. Bear in mind that taser guns are not made of simple circuitry and parts which can be repaired by ordinary individuals like you. If you find something defective and wrong with your tool, have it checked by the nearest service center technician. They are the only ones who are credible and experienced in repairing these devices.

6. Never place the device anywhere and within the reach of children to avoid tinkering and accidents from happening.

By following the suggestions above, you can care for the device effectively.

Common Marriage Mistakes And Making The Marriage Successful

Every marital relationship begins with a lot of hope and dreams about life-long connection filled with love and togetherness.

Really, only a few of marriages actually do fulfill the hopes of the participants and bring together a wholeness state of mind.

Why?

We’re too wrapped up in the idea of the body as who we truly are because as humans we can’t be whole.

There are numerous reasons for this however here we single out a few of those.

– Every young adult who is preparing marital relationship should be aware of these most typical pitfalls

– Getting married for the sake of love without first inspecting the depth of love

– Dedicating to a long-term relationship like marital relationship solely on the basis of that feeling of love is an error.

– Romantic feeling dies as time passes and far more important concerns like ‘household background’, ‘values’, ‘religious faith’, ‘financial stability’ raise their head.

These issues are of genuine significance which practically many individuals with feelings of wholly-shared love ignore.

Marrying someone who does not share an interest or hobby

While marital relationship with an individual who does not share an interest or hobby does not itself make the marriage unstable, presence of such an interest or pastime can make life more pleasurable for both the partners.

And this can make a genuine difference so while picking life partner this element should be considered.

For some reason or other this element is often neglected prior to marriage. And efforts start after marriage to adjust the partner to one’s own interest or establish a new typical interest.

While that is not a difficult job, the process of adjusting may become un-palatable and may lead to unstable marriage.

When considering compatibility, not knowing exactly what questions to think over.

Previously I discussed in a well-received session how to find the right marriage counseling or family therapy best for you.

We looked at to make a marriage successful one must do some basic homework, needs, so to understand to make their marital relationship successful.

– Believing mindful and appropriate quarries might offend her/him.

One may think that excessive investigation about future partner’s background may not be a good idea.

As the other partner may discover, this sort of believed procedure keeps numerous couples from asking the ideal concerns before considering a marital relationship.

– Depending too much on a friend or loved ones recommendation.

A substantial number of couples often get married on the recommendation of friends or loved ones.

While normally relatives and close friends are considered as well wishers, to take their suggestion is not always a good idea.

As their knowledge of an individual can never equal to the knowledge the person has about herself or himself.

The person to be wed is in a much better position to pick compatible life partner.

Finest escape is acting on their suggestion only after effective conclusion of your own inner compatibility check.

– Getting married just to please others

Often people get married to make someone else happy. It may be the shotgun type with the father or mother insisting, or it may be relatives.

There is no issue in making somebody pleased if that does not jeopardize one’s own marital relationship.

Most of time in such cases, marriages take place without exercising adequate care.

As an outcome, one might wind up marrying somebody not suitable, and if this is the case, how to save a relationship in the future will likely not be repairable.

Loving and enriching experiences with one another helps us side with wholeness more so than separation, and you must be mindful about the above things so that your marriage will last a lifetime while in this world.

Don’t you want your marriage to reflect Heaven?

(Please note, I like to suggest searching the net for other helpful material on the best marriage advice online and does couples therapy work?)

Ozark Superstitions

We’ve all heard them. If you step on a crack, you’ll break your mother’s back. Break a mirror and bring seven years of bad luck. Never open an umbrella in the house.

Those are a few of the most popular, but did you know the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and Arkansas are filled with families who still believe certain, strange superstitions? Superstition, which can also be called magical thinking, is a term used to describe causal reasoning that looks for correlations between acts or utterances and certain events.

Henry Rowe Schoolcraft, the first white man to chronicle the interior of the Ozarks, referred in his 1818 book to early settlers as having “burdensome superstitions.” It cannot be proven whether these came from their ancestors or were beliefs assimilated by their close contact with the Osage and Cherokee.

Schoolcraft wrote, “Among all classes superstition is prevalent. Witchcraft and a belief in the sovereign virtue of certain metals so prevalent in those periods of the history of the progress of the human mind which reflects disgrace upon our species have still their advocates here.” He wrote about a “hunter who was so convinced his rifle had been bewitched so that he could kill nothing with it and thus sold it on that account.” The hunter suspected a malicious neighbor had laid a spell upon the rifle. Another hunter’s wife was convinced her brass ring was an infallible remedy for the cramp, “which she was much troubled with before putting on the ring, but had not had the slightest return of it since.”

Vance Randolph was a prolific researcher and writer who combed the Ozark Mountains in the early 1920s for superstitions, stories and songs from the old people who were first generation descendants of the early settlers. In his 1947 book entitled Ozark Superstitions he wrote, “The Hillman is secretive and sensitive beyond anything that the average city dweller can imagine, but he isn’t simple. His mind moves in a tremendously involved system of signs and omens and esoteric auguries. He has little interest in the mental procedure that the moderns call science, and his ways of arranging data and evaluating evidence are very different from those currently favored in the world beyond the hilltops. The Ozark hill folk have often been described as the most superstitious people in America.”

Most old people Randolph interviewed scoffed at the idea of being superstitious then told for a “gospel truth” a strange and wild belief they personally held dear. Often these “gospel truths” conflicted from hill and vale depending on the clan of people interviewed.

Moon signs are a great example. Every Ozark resident was sure he knew when to plant spring potatoes in order to guarantee the best crop. March 17 was the tried and true date, unless you were from the family who knew it was “absolutely right” to plant in the light of the moon. Of course, other families scoffed at “them senseless superstitions” and planted each year in the dark of the moon.

The moon controlled a lot of the old settler’s actions. Peering through the tree limbs to gaze upon a full moon was considered one way to “addle” your brain. On the other hand, the moon could help portend one’s future mate. If a girl heard a dove and saw the new moon at the same instant, she had to repeat this verse:

“Bright moon, clear moon,

Bright and fair,

Lift up your right foot

There’ll be a hair.”

Then, she was to take off her right shoe and would naturally find in it a hair like that of her future husband wrote Randolph.

Physical characteristics had a lot to do with success, according to many early settlers. In both the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks folks repeat the saying “a man with lots of hair on his legs is always a good hog raiser.”

Small ears are supposed to indicate a stingy personality. Green-eyed women did not fare very well in early Ozarks culture if the following verse about a woman’s eye color gives any indication:

If a woman’s eyes are gray, listen close to what she’s got to say.

If a woman’s eyes are black, give her room and plenty o’track.

If a woman’s eyes are brown, never let your own fall down.

If a woman’s eyes are green, whip her with a switch that’s keen.

If a woman’s eyes are blue, she will always be true to you.

Weather was a subject of great interest. A rainbow in the evening meant clear weather, but a rainbow in the morning indicated a storm within twenty-four hours. Hill folks watched and listened to their animals and chickens to learn if it was going to rain. “If a cock crows when he goes to bed, he’ll get up with a wet head.”

A rain on Monday, according to some meant that it would rain more or less every day that week. Others said if it rained on Monday there would be two or more rainy days, but that Friday would be bright and fair. However, if the sun “sets clear” on Tuesday, it was sure to rain before Friday. Many native Ozarkers still believe rain during a funeral is a sign concerning the eternal destination of the dead person. “Blessed are the dead that the rain falls on,” goes the saying.

Certain household items and accessories had distributive properties. Eggs carried in a man’s hat would all hatch roosters. If a pregnant mother wished for a baby girl, she could place a frying pan underneath her mattress. Of course, she might carefully check her husband’s side of the bed under which he may have hidden a jack knife which was a sure sign he was looking for a boy.

The numerous, complex and often convoluted superstitions held by native Ozarks are sometimes ridiculed by “outsiders,” but that hasn’t diminished their enthusiasm for these closely held beliefs. In fact, a cardinal just lit on my mailbox. If I can slip outside and chant, “money cometh” three times before it flies away, I’ll have money in the mail before week’s end.

Weekly Review: Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online is one of those animes that after you watch it, you just can’t help yourself but to watch it again. The first half of the first season was probably the best string of episodes I have ever watched in an anime series. The way the show captured my attention and sent me into the world of Aincrad with the characters was truly astounding. The series was packed with action scenes, hilarious comic reliefs, and just enough romance to melt your heart.

Plot / Story

In this anime we are thrown into the world of the near future in Japan. A brand new VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) has just been released to market; however, there are only 10,000 copies being released! Our main character, Kazuto, is one of those lucky few. In fact, he is even more special. Kazuto was a part of the small group of BETA testers that actually tested the game out before it was released, so by the start of the anime, our beloved character is already addicted to this new world.

Shortly after the launch of the game, something is terribly wrong. The logout button is missing from the menu. After a forced teleport and an announcement by the game master, it is clear that this is a “feature” of Sword Art Online and “not a bug.” The players are trapped within the game, any attempt to free them from the world from the outside will result in death. The only way to get out of the game is to clear it, or die trying.

Our number one man realizes that he has to become as powerful as possible, and sets out to accomplish just that. For most of the first half of the season, he is an extreme loner. Especially after a conflict with other players after the defeat of the first boss, which lead other players to believe he is a cheat, or as he is referred to in the game, he is a “beater.”

Our hero goes on to make a name for himself. He is commonly referred to as a beater, but also as the “Black Swordsman” who solos the front lines, which in this anime, is unheard of. Along the journey Kirito, as he is called in the game, meets friends and eventually breaks out of his loner streak. Though it is well established that he almost always prefers to go it alone, even later in the series. He goes on to make many friendships, most notably with Klein, the comic relief character, and Asuna, his love interest.

Sequels / Arcs

After the first season of SAO, they came out with SAO II, also known as Gun Gale Online, and a few short arcs. There are also some extra short movies here and there, but nothing really too spectacular. The second season of SAO really dropped out for me; the story just didn’t have that much weight to it. The plot is Kirito is sent into another game (GGO) in order to investigate mysterious deaths that appear to be happening around a character called “Death Gun.” This season introduces another supporting character, that was well liked, but was met with a lot of heat due to the fact that she often flirted with our boy. Fans of the Asuna x Kirito pair, we not amused. Especially whenever Asuna is introduced as Kirito’s “friend.”

Aside from that, the arcs that take place after SAO II are a little dry. The only one worth mentioning is Mother’s Rosario, the latest release. This short arc restores your faith in the series even though our main character, Kirito, only makes subtle appearances. This arc focues on the development of Asuna, and her journey to join a small guild that wants to take on a boss alone. The emotional rollercoaster you go on with this arc is intense, just to warn you.

Overall

In conclusion, this is a fantastic anime series. You should definitely give this one a go, especially since it is available in both dub and sub. The series did a great job picking out English voice actors; Kirito is a little hard to adjust to, but you get used to him. I feel like this anime has a perfect combination of action, adventure, romance, friendship, and comedy. I would prefer to have a little more romance action between Kirito and Asuna, but the emotional “I love you” Asuna whispers as Kirito holds off a massive guild will just have to do.

Difference Between Black Powder and Smokeless Powder

There are some differences between black powder and smokeless powder that will be describe shortly in this article.

Black powder (the “original propellant”) is very pressure sensitive, produces a lot of smoke when ignited, and is not very efficient (meaning it takes a lot more to produce the gas to propel a slug). It is the old charcoal, sulfur, saltpeter mix that the Chinese invented a thousand years ago. It’s common “gunpowder”. It burns badly and creates huge amounts of smoke. When it burned, only produces propellant gases with approximately 35% of it’s mass. 65% of the mass of this powder, when burned, becomes useless solid byproducts in the gun barrel and in the air. If that’s not “burns badly” in your opinion, perhaps you need to go back to the third grade again, bud? Your comprehensive skills are obviously lacking.

Smokeless powder is composed of two basic materials. One is nitrocellulose and the other is nitroglycerine. Some smokeless powders are made of only one of these materials and is called a single base powder. Others are composed of a mixture of both components and are called double based powders. The reason for using mixtures of the two components is to control their burning rates. Faster burning powders are used for shotguns and handguns. The slower burning powders are used for rifle powders.

Smokeless powders are all progressive burning powders. That means that as the pressure within the cartridge increases, so does the burning rate. It produces a more gentle acceleration than does black powder and achieved much greater final pressures and higher total velocities. Black powder burns at the same rate regardless of the increasing pressure. The maximum pressure is reached more quickly but is significantly less than smokeless powder. These lower total pressures of black powder are the reason that we cannot use smokeless powder in a gun designed for black powder. We will blow it up and ourself along with it.

Gun Safe Construction – Composite Vs Steel Plate

A gun vault is a specialized type of safe, configured for the storage of long guns. It’s use is not limited to firearms and related items. Other valuables may be stored in the safe along with your firearms.

In a previous article I identified some very basic questions you should ask yourself to help identify your needs before shopping for a gun vault. In this article I want to give you some pointers on what to look for in the construction of a gun safe that will help you pick a model that is both secure and affordable.

Keep in mind this adage, “You get what you pay for.” That statement is very true when it comes to picking a gun safe. Once you have established your needs and your budget, a little knowledge about safe construction will help you identify a safe that is both secure and affordable.

There are two primary types of materials used in the construction of gun vaults. First is solid rolled steel plate. Available in thicknesses ranging from ¼ inch to over 1 inch thick, steel plate can provide a high level of security from attempted intrusion. Efforts to gain entry via prying and drilling are extremely difficult on a safe made from hardened steel plate. The thicker the steel, the more time and effort is required to drill or cut through.

A safe made of heavy steel plate is just that – heavy. Weighing in at 700 – 1000 pounds such a safe isn’t likely to be carried off by a burglar, but is difficult for the owner to place and install and may require reinforced flooring. One down side to steel plate is that it is vulnerable to heat and may be easily breached with a cutting torch.

A solid steel safe will be heavy. It will feel heavy. Swing the door back and forth and you can feel the weight. A one inch thick composite door may only contain 25% of the steel that you find in a 3/8 inch solid steel door. That extra weight means extra security.

Composite is made up of sheets of thinner steel, layered much like plywood, and possibly other materials as well. Lower end composites may consist of plaster, foam, plastic, or organic material sandwiched between two layers of thin sheet metal. Very vulnerable to power tools, a low end safe may be cut open with a basic carpenters circular saw carrying a carbide tipped blade.

Higher end composites will layer more sheets of hardened steel and possibly fire retardant. A layer of stainless steel may be included as a barrier against a cutting torch. With a higher heat resistance than standard steel, stainless is nearly impervious to entry via torch.

When shopping for your gun safe don’t focus all of your attention on the interior. The security of the contents depends on the construction of the box itself. When it comes to securing your firearms and other valuables, you want the most steel that you can afford.

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Reviewed

New to the Mass Effect series starting with Mass Effect 3 is multiplayer. The multiplayer for Mass Effect 3 consists of Horde Mode Ala Gears of War. If you never heard or read about Horde Mode its a simple Wave Mode where where you and your team cooperatively must destroy waves of attacking enemies. Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer is a mash-up of wave mode, snatch and grab, hacking terminals and hold the extraction point all within a ten wave match. Its not that bad really. But its also not going to be the reason why you purchase Mass Effect 3. You bought Mass Effect 3 for its single campaign (I shouldn’t have to remind you all of that). The multiplayer is simply a sideshow to the main attraction. Its fun, challenging and diverse enough to definitely warrant some of your time when you decide to take a break from the story campaign.

Classes: When you first log into Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer you are immediately enlisted as a N7 Special Ops Team member. Regarding classes much like the single-player campaign you have 6 classes to choose from including: Adept, Soldier, Engineer, Sentinal, Infiltrator and Vanguard. For my class I chose the Vanguard since i already beaten Mass Effect 2 on its most challenging difficulty as a Vanguard. I like the up close and personal approach even if I get killed a few times. Not only that but I anticipated everybody else would either be Adept, Soldier and or a Engineer which ended up being the case. Every match I played nobody choose Vanguard which made my decision more important since classes on teams should have variety since this is strictly a cooperative multiplayer.

Characters in Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer are spread out between classes. Each class has a Human (Male) and (Female) who have the exact same default biotics and weapons for each class. There are also two Aliens per class assigned who come equip with different biotics and weapons for default. Unlocking Aliens take XP or can be bought with in-game credits via special Packs in the Store (if you’re lucky). Alien characters like i said differ per class and include: Krogan, Quarian, Drell, Tourian, Salarian and Asari. For my character I stuck with my custom Human Male (Vanguard). I had unlocked some of the Alien characters already. It shouldn’t take the average gamer that long to do so.

Customizing your character for matches comes next after you choose your class and character. You can change your Primary Color, Highlight Color, Secondary Color, Pattern, Pattern Color and Lights. Some of those options above are locked when you first start playing and become unlocked as you level up. The customization is deep enough so that you can make sure your character doesn’t look exactly like everybody else’s. My Vanguard turned into some gold colored greenish guy. It looked pretty good actually. I was basically mixing and matching my suit’s colors.

Character: This menu breaks down into Powers, Weapons, Appearance, Equipment and Store. You already know what the Appearance section is all about. The Weapon section lets you add mods and set your preferred guns to slots. The guns you have depends on the class and whether or not you unlocked them. The Equipment section of the Character section keeps tracks of all of your perks and equipment. They are called Supplies and my Vanguard had after two matches: Cobra Missile Launcher, Thermal Clip Pack, Ops Survival Pack and Medi-Gel. There are also Bonus slots for the following: Ammo Bonus, Weapon Bonus and Armor Bonus. Consider the latter perks you can activate once in a match.

Maps: Ontaram: Firebase Dagger, Benning: Firebase Chost Tuchanko, Firebase Grant, Cyone: Firebase Reactor, Sanctum: Firebase Glacier, Novevia: Firebase White. And just like with any multiplayer some maps are good and some are not. I’m sure DLC was made before Mass Effect 3 released so we will get new DLC maps over the next few months most likely. The maps are of a base configuration and don’t differ that much in design but more in settings.

Make sure you visit the store first so you can get your Starter Pack (free). They also sell Recruit Pack (5000 credits), Veteran Pack (20,000 credits) and Spectre Pack (60,000 credits). You can make at least 10,000 credits each match (I did). The packs are completely random regarding items, perks and weapon mods you receive. The more expensive the pack the better swag you will get no matter what. The Free Pack gave me Thermal Clip Pack (pistol), Medi-Gel, Ops Survival Pack, Sniper Rifle Spare Thermal Clip and a (unlocked) Asari Vanguard. Keep in mind all of the packs are random and you never know what you’ll receive but 9 times out of 10 its something you and your team will benefit from while playing. The items and perks you receive can be mapped to your D-pad (Dual Shock 3).

To sum up my matches they have been fun, challenging and diverse. The diversity in Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer comes in the form of different objectives WHILE facing waves of enemies. At this point I will say the objectives are randomized to my knowledge for the most part. Objectives that the 4 man/woman team must complete range from hacking terminals (4) and they are scattered around the base. Holding extraction points (usually wave 10). Your team must fend off either Geth, Reaper or Cerburus attack till extraction comes. Regular waves are the bread and butter though and where you rank your XP up. Make sure you stay with your team the entire match and revive them as needed. Stay near ammo crates that are scattered around each base. Know where they are at the beginning of each match.

Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer suppose to effect the ending of the single player story campaign. I’m expecting it to be a small impact if anything but I have no real idea since I’m still playing the campaign. The presentation is good for this game’s multiplayer. However there are some connection and stuttering problems but no disconnects or freezes to report. Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer is a third person over the shoulder shooter. Using your biotics and guns while roll strafing is fun. I am still surprised bioware added multiplayer to a RPG like Mass Effect 3. With that said the multiplayer is decent. It’s not the reason you buy Mass Effect 3. It’s a sideshow to the main attraction and that’s all it is. The main attraction being the single-player story campaign. Thanks for reading.
