SRC Airsoft Guns – Is SRC a Good Airsoft Brand and Should I Buy One?

There are many brands of airsoft guns on the market today. They range from low dollar plastic toys to high dollar all metal weapons. One brand that has risen above the rest is SRC airsoft guns. However they are not as well known as they could be leaving many people to wonder is SRC a good airsoft brand and should I buy it? The article below is going to answer that question for you.

The top of the line gun in the line up from SRC would be the generation III or Gen III for short. The Gen III models use only the best materials in their construction. For example the M4 is all metal except for the stock and pistol grip which are a tough nylon fiber. The AK-47 series is made from real wood and metal. These guns are so well built they look and feel like the real thing and are virtually indestructable.

Aside from their rugged construction the SRC Gen III guns really take a step above the competition when it comes to the internals of the gearbox. The way this gearbox is built stock you will not have to add any parts or upgrades to it to make it a top notch performer. Lets look at some of the internals that make this gearbox so great!

To begin with the biggest factor would be the 8mm ball bearings and the reinforced gearbox casing, these set up a solid foundation for dependability and performance. Then you can move onto the steel gear set that can be used for up to a M140 spring.

The piston is next and is made from a high strength polymer material so its not only light weight but strong to! Attached to the piston you will find an aluminum piston head that mates with an aluminum cylinder head, both of which have double O-rings to increase air seal and shooting range.

Attached to the cylinder head is an O-ringed air nozzle that will propel the BB down the 6.04 mm tight bore barrel. The M110 spring which is backed up by an aluminum spring guide with bearing will give you right around 330 FPS out of the box. There is an M120 spring included in the box but will require installation and will get you around 380-400 FPS. Even at 330 FPS the SRC gen III has a range of 175-200 feet because of the superior air seal and efficiency of the gearbox.

So as you can see SRC airsoft guns are a good brand with a lot of quality built into them. So the bottom line is that if you want a airsoft gun that will give you excellent out of the box performance without having to spend money on upgrades then the SRC Generation III series would be the right gun for you.
