In our 52nd and last episode of the Madness Chronicles for 2020, we’ll look at the madness growing of our federal agencies being armed to the teeth. Remember, madness is a state of being mentally ill, severely, extremely foolish behavior, and a form of frenzied or chaotic activity. Let’s take a look at some really maddening proposition of our police agencies being better armed than our Marines.
Do you realize in these United States that our federal agencies have more men armed than do our United States Marines? The Fed’s have over 200,000 agents with firearms, the Marines 180,000. And these are the people who want to take our guns.
In the old days, the Internal Revenue Service was a force to be reckoned with because they would show up for an audit and take your stuff. Now, the IRS spent $21.3 million on guns, ammunition, and military style equipment in the past five years. They currently have 2,159 Special Agents to use all that equipment.
Moving over to Health and Human Services, their Inspector General’s office has 1,300 guns, including one shotgun, five submachine guns, and 189 automatic firearms. Apparently, they have a get stringent policy when administering those mega-billions of welfare across the nation. Anyone getting a little concerned yet?
How about the Environmental Protection Agency? Surely they don’t need firearms? Not so fast. The EPA stockpile includes 867,000 rounds of ammunition, 600 guns, and they just spent $61,650 purchasing’ body armor systems’ for 137 special agents. The climate wars must be heating up?
And if you think that is scary, check this out. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has ‘special agents’ equipped with machine guns and AR-15s. And even more terrifying still, we have a museum and zoo force. Say what? The Smithsonian Institution employed over 600-armed officers. And these people receive training from our very own military special operations forces. Why?
The madness continues with the Department of Homeland Security, who are the proud owners of over 250,000 weapons. And this does not include the Transportation Security Administration or TSA. Those friendly men and women at the airports do not disclose any information about their weaponry. Since the TSA has over 50,000 employees in airports across the nation, we can assume they are each packing heat.
In a recent audit covering three years of the Department of Homeland Security, they found the department to be, well, pretty insecure. It seems the DHS lost 228 guns and 1,889 badges, and a mere 25 secure immigration stamps. Don’t you feel better now knowing how well they control their precious goods?
The Veterans Administration is in the mix. The VA spent $25.5 million on security. The expenditures included 11 million rounds of ammunition for their 3,957 security guards. That should be enough to fend off the veterans for awhile.
All of the expenditures mentioned are non-Department of Defense. For instance, the top spender is the Department of Homeland Security who spends right at $100 million a year on weapons, ammunition, and military equipment. Coming in second is the Department of Justice at $50 million a year. Even some you wouldn’t expect are in on the action. Take the Social Security Administration, they spend over $100 thousand a year, as does the Small Business Administration. That is the definition of madness.
2020 ushered in an America on life support. 2020 leaves America removed from life support, waiting to die. It will go down as the year of madness.
May we wake from this madness before it’s too late. I wish you good health, and until next time, have fun, enjoy life, and watch out for the madness amongst us. 2020 is gone, and the Democratic communists are running amok.
